CEREC Dentistry
CEREC Technology consists of image acquisition electronics, an infrared camera, and a milling unit. These tools combined with state of the art CEREC 3D software allow us to create perfect fitting, aesthetically pleasing, ceramic restorations in one office visit. The CEREC Unit has provided us with a means to replace large amalgam and composite fillings with milled porcelain restorations. The end result is a restorations that, unlike amalgam, is tooth coloured and is much stronger and less flexible than composite resin.

We routinely photograph your mouth prior to treatment so that you can clearly observe and understand your treatment needs.

Digital Radiographs
Including OPG /Small X-rays
X-rays are a necessary diagnostic tool and greatly increase the detection of early decay and abnormalities. Modern technology has introduced digital radiography which requires half the radiation of traditional film technology and the images provided are immediate.
We also have an OPG (Orthopantomogram) machine allowing a panoramic x-ray of the upper and lower jaws. This allows a truly comprehensive look at the complete health of your mouth.

SimPlant implant 3D planning software
SimPlant software is the world’s first interactive 3D implant planning system. SimPlant enables more accurate and predictive treatment planning for dental implants as well as determining the exact position of wisdom teeth in relation to the nerves under the bone.

There are numerous benefits to both practitioner and patient in the use of SimPlant. Utilising 3D planning allows the ideal position of the implant to be planned taking into account both clinical and esthetic considerations.
SimPlant provides a link between our 3-dimensional plans and the actual surgery. Computerised drill guides transfer the simulated plan accurately to surgery. This increases the safety and decreases the time needed for implant surgery.

Operating Microscopes – Magnification
Dentistry is micro carpentry. We are doing work that is intricate and delicate. Our operating microscopes allow us to see the teeth and gums giant sized. There is no doubt that this allows us to deliver a high technical level of care, from tooth cleaning to the most intricate cavity preparations and surgical procedures.

Sterilisation
We meet and exceed all the government standards, including sterilisation of all instruments and hand pieces by autoclave. A computerised office sterilisation program tracks and confirms the sterilisation process.
